GREAT COMEDY DEBATES

Great Comedy Debates are like no other debate I have seen. Two teams divide up into affirmative and negative and debate a moot topic. Sounds normal enough, unless you go to a Comedy Debate in New Zealand. They have a moot topic, but sometimes, well, all the time, stray from it :) They, instead, seem to tear apart the opposing team by ribbing them, riduculing them, and sometimes picking on their own team mates. I can only describe it as a show similar to the Dean Martin Roasts many years ago. Only it is six celebrities and instead of one celebrity being roasted, two teams of three each go at each other in a fun and friendly way. Some of the leading debators I've seen or heard in New Zealand are Craig Parker, Michael Hurst, Gary McCormick, Oliver Driver, Ginette McDonald and Rebecca Hobbs. There are many more celebrities that do these and are just as hilarious. The pages here represent televised debates that Craig Parker has done. They aired on TV 3 in New Zealand.
