Synopois orginally from TVONE's Web site: To kill a Mynah bird Helen has moved into William and Alistair's house, and is getting on way too well with William for Alistair's liking. But a driving lesson gives him a chance, and Alistair seizes the day. And it seems that Helen is very interested. Alistair has finally won over William and found happiness - but the one fly in the ointment is making the big announcement to Nicky. He is rather wounded that she doesn't seem more heartbroken. Meanwhile Nicky wonders whether to tell Alistair that she saw Helen and Eric together. Nicky gets an offer from Cliff to join him on an all-expenses paid holiday to Hawaii. They are no longer together, but she knows where the holiday is likely to lead, so she declines - until pressure at work makes her decide to throw caution to the winds. She insists this will just be as friends, but Gabrielle sees this for the hocum it is. Meanwhile, Manu Bishop is entertaining Americans at the vineyard and Kieran assumes this is something to do with the proposed university. But when one of the Americans loses his wallet, Kieran begins to suspect that the plans for the university have changed - to a prison. Nicky realises that Cliff's business trip to Hawaii is a correctional facility fact-finding mission. As the community starts to get hot under the collar about having a prison just outside Bassett, Nicky feels pressured, particularly by Kieran. She backs out of the holiday. Cliff is unimpressed, but recovers. He finds someone else to go with. Ken is kept busy formulating and executing his master plan for wooing Dana. But romance is the last thing on Dana's mind when she finds out that Jordan's friend, Carlos has been bullying him at school. Dana takes matters into her own hands, and Ken feels she's taken things too far. Dana thinks that Ken doesn't understand, but Ken understands all too well, and despite his lack of parenting qualifications asks for the chance to intervene with Jordan. Dana reluctantly agrees and Ken works his man-magic with Jordan. In this, he has success, but his romantic plans turn to custard. Despite this, Dana is charmed. She realises the reason for the romance extravaganza and says yes. She will marry him. Nicky meanwhile, heads away on holiday, but not to Hawaii. She is going alone. |
