GREAT COMEDY DEBATE, CHRISTCHURCH 2002: RUGBY, IT'S ONLY A GAME

The moot, Rugby, it's only a game. The crowds who came to watch, rugby fans. This was a lost cause for the affirmative team consisting of Ginette McDonald (team leader), Oliver Driver and Craig Parker. The negative team was lead by Phil Gifford (a sports person), Rebecca Hobbs and Oscar Kightly. This was held during a huge rugby game in Christchurch. Of course the negative won, saying Rugby is more than just a game, but Craig and Oliver were the hightlights of the night. These two work great on the same team. At one point Craig got Rebecca to admit something about her Aunt Marrion that she shouldn't have ;) Aunti Marion is a member of the goverment and according to Rebecca, it is the duty of all Hobbs women to bag an All Black ;) LOL

During the in between scenes, Rebecca came and grabbed Craig away from some old theatre actor friends he was consoling due to everyone being at the big game and no one there to watch the play. Rebecca nabbed some rugby tickets and took Craig to the big game. First they get their faces painted and then Rebecca does the one thing Craig hates, puts a hat on him. They then go to the game and she explains it to him. Eventually he leaves. It is some really cute footage done in between each spearker after the commercials. :)

I say, yes, Rugby is only a game, but NFL football, now that is a way of life ;)
